About the war
WW2 started first when Germany invaded Poland by air and gained victory over Poland, the war also started because of the invasion of Manchuria made by Japan. This was the beginning of one of the most devastating wars in the world.
After the invasion on Poland, France and Britain declare war on Germany, thus beginning World War 2. A month later, Poland was tore apart by the combination of Soviet and German forces and the land was divided between the Soviets and the Germans. After Poland, German forces invaded Denmark and Norway on April 9, 1940. On May, the largest of all concentration camps, Auschwitz, was inaugurated. Later in the same month, Germany invaded countries that took neutral positions on war (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg), and took France along the way too.

Italy Invasion
With Africa being covered and Sicily the Allies now had to attack a stronger enemy, that was Italy. This battle took place in September 1943, it started with just Britain but later the US stepped in to help their ally. With Germany supporting many thought that was going to be difficult invasion but it was not that difficult. Many Allied leaders said that the invasion easy, a factor that was easy was the form of a new government led by Pedrio Badoglio. With Italy losing the Germans were very affected because it was the ally of Italy. When Italy surrender to there former allies the Germans needed to go immediately back to there country to establish a military line known as Gustav Line 75 miles north of Naples (Italy). In 1944 the invasion made a time out because Britain and US troops wanted to defend their ally France, colonized by the Germans for the Allies France was very important so the invasion of Italy had to wait.
